The Brief:
Carwyn Cellars was in need of an updated logo, one that was simplified and could be used more easily on merchandise and other print mediums that require single colour printing or etching. The new logo also had to be able to be used at a smaller scale without losing visibility.
The Concept:
Simplifying the logo was not hard, as the existing branding was quite busy. The old logo used imagery of a bottle across a bottle cap, and the goal was to retain some of that while refraining from going the most obvious routes. The resulting logo is the letter C combined with a bottle monogram, and circular text to both visually complete the full circle and retain a remnant of the previous bottle cap badge. Clean, simple, and effective.
